“We Never Named Them” Ashtray by Christoph Wimmer-Ruelland

Christoph Wimmer-Ruelland’s “We Never Named Them” ashtray is composed of various modules assembled into a monochrome steel structure, connected by ropework techniques that allow them to be dismantled and reconfigured. At its summit, a small Eiffel Tower plays paradoxically with the height of the ashtray. Certain components, such as the bowl serving as a receptacle for ashes and cigarette butts, can be returned to their original use or repurposed in other configurations.
